Daniel Winters
Daniel joined the Bernt lab as an undergraduate, while engaged in his pre-med studies at UPenn. He began investigating why patients with IDH1/2 mutations seem to experience a more powerful transformation to AML than TET2 patients, a project he was thrilled to continue while a research tech in his gap-year, as well as joining Simone to better understand the role of MN1. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball and learning about history through books such as 1491, which dives into what the Americas looked like before Columbus.
